  Very clean and well maintained hotel with an old fashioned feel. They have their own super modern self service laundry just across the road and, boy, after 10 days walking the pilgrimage route did we ever need it!?

  If you're looking for a delicious meal in a refined setting, there is something on the menu here for all pockets, from the 13 euro pilgrim's menu to the zarzuela of fresh fish and seafood. The pilgrim's menu included a delicious amuse bouche of rich cream of mushroom soup, a hearty bowl of Galician stew and a tender and perfectly cooked cutlet of local beef accompanied by a small salad and freshly fried potato straws before finishing up with homemade tiramisu. The kind and professional service, terrific value, interesting artwork and truly excellent cooking more than make up for the slightly outdated and stuffy decor in this restaurant which has hosted the king and queen of Spain as well as the literary giant Camilo José Cela. Highly recommended.

  Food was great here. The chef has even been visited by the King of Spain! Their big and expensive thing is Lamprey. Staff was courteous, but distant. We spent the night in the hotel which was clean, comfortable, but dated, if that's important to you. I'm really into customer service so I walked away feeling more like a number.

  We didn't eat there (I thought it looked a bit on the pricey side) but I really wish we had because the food looked fantastic (we had a terrible meal elsewhere).
